Josephine Agbenoevi

Josephine Agbenoevi is the passionate heart behind COMPASSIONATE CARE PARTNERS INC. With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, she has dedicated her career to serving individuals with both medical and developmental needs. Her journey reflects compassion, a commitment to dignity, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in her community.

Professional Experience

Josephine’s work in various healthcare settings has shaped her deep understanding of how to best serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities:

  • Mercy Clinic – Cookeville (2000–Present):

Working at Mercy Clinic, a primary care setting, provided me with the opportunity to care for a diverse range of patients with varying medical needs. Among them were many individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, each with unique strengths and challenges. These encounters deepened my understanding of how compassionate, individualized care can make a meaningful difference in a person’s daily life. Through ongoing interactions, I developed lasting connections and a stronger commitment to creating inclusive care environments that promote dignity, independence, and overall well‑being.

  • Vanderbilt University Medical Center – Nashville (1997–2000):

During my time at Vanderbilt, I had the privilege of meeting and caring for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a hospital setting. My primary goal was to foster an atmosphere of trust by offering genuine friendship and companionship, which often served as the foundation for achieving care goals and completing necessary tasks. This experience taught me that emotional connection is just as vital as clinical skill when supporting individuals in their health journey, and it continues to guide my approach to care today.
